Day 9of our SSAFA Rally, saw us leave Salamanca and cover about 350miles through amazing scenery to the coastal town of San Sebastián for the end of this event.

Tomorrow morning we say farewell to the other teams, as they make their way back towards the final destination of Bilbao to catch the ferry back to the UK. We have decided that two and a half days on a ferry is not for Team Bee Cool, se we are going to to traverse the French Alps, and use the same time doing some more driving across France.

Finally, a Huge Thank You from #Team Bee Cool to everyone who has donated, as we have found out tonight that with the help extra £250 in cash donations we have received into our Charity Tin, from customers in the UK, and people we have met while on our trip, we have now hit our minimum donation target for the event! 🍾🍾

Many thanks to our many, friends and supporters already donating to our fundraising page, and to; Cfield Construction, techmangms, ennd_barbershop, DMS Supplies, and Bee Cool ACS for supporting our car for the event.

Some Final, but we important Thank You’s;
to all the Bee Cool Team in the UK for the help in Servicing and prepping our car, to DMS/Millers Oils for supplying the Oil and Service Items, to Danny at Kettering Auto Electrics for fitting the Yellow Beacon System, to Anton at Total Tints for making and fitting all the Decals, Elite Heritage for sourcing the car for us, ECP Kettering for Fire Extinguishers and Safety Items, Printgoshop for making our t-shirts, and last, but not least CCDesign for Sponsor Logo decals. Thank you again for all of your help and support with this event! Much Love ❤️❤️❤️

Please remember, we are doing this for charity, and It’s not too late to help us raise funds for this amazing charity. You can find the link here;

Day 8 of our SSAFA Rally, saw us leave Badajoz, and cross the border into Portugal, where we climbed 2000ft of Mountain and found ourselves above the cloud line looking down on it, as well as spectacular scenery and roads. We were then met by an old friend who now lives locally, and he rode his motorbike with us until we crossed the border back into Spain for our destination for the night of Salamanca. A wonderful evening spent in Salamanca Plaza, what a beautiful place!

Tomorrow morning we say farewell to Salamanca, and travel onwards to the Spanish/French border on the start of our 4 day journey home to the UK.

Day 7 of our SSAFA Rally, saw us leave Gibraltar, and cross the border back into Spain for our journey to Badajoz, on the border to Portugal. It is so hot here at 44 degrees, that even the wind blowing hard is hot! Badajoz is a spectacular small city of squares or Plazas.

Tomorrow morning we say farewell to Badajoz and travel onwards to Portugal, where I am told it is going to get even hotter!

Day 6 of our SSAFA Rally, was called a ‘rest day’, however, we spent most of the daytime on a fascinating ViP tour inside the military tunnels inside the rock, and was a real education.

With a quick change of clothes we attended a Memorial Service held in Trafalgar Cemetery, then a trip up the cable car to Mons Calpe for an amazing dinner held by the Commodore of Gibraltar, complete with entertainment by the local monkeys, a Military Band and a Bagpiper.

Tomorrow morning we say farewell to Gibraltar and travel onwards to Badajoz at the border of Portugal for the start of the second half of our tour.

Day 5 of our SSAFA Rally, our route took us through another two National Parks from Cordoba to Gibraltar.

On arrival at Gibraltar, we made our way to the Airport where, for the first time in history, the airport was closed by the RAF in order for us to use the runway as a drag strip, all to support our fund raising, as people paid to be taken down the runway as passengers. We raised over £1000 doing this today. 🍾🍾

Exemplary garage, I came here several years ago relating to an air-con problem and decided to have them look after the entire car as a result, and haven't looked back since.
